Beach Clean-Up

Join the American Society of Rio for a beach clean-up at Praia do Flamengo in partnership with Projeto Tatuí. This event is open to Society member and non-members.

In honor of Environment Month in June, the American Society of Rio is proud to partner with Projeto Tatuí, an initiative by the Instituto Ecológico Aqualung, for a meaningful environmental action focused on ocean conservation and community engagement. This project combines education, awareness, and hands-on impact through a large-scale beach clean-up at Praia do Flamengo, near the Marina da Glória. The American Society of Rio will be one of multiple organizations that will participate in the event this date. Volunteers will come together to collect, sort, and recycle waste, while learning about the effects of pollution on marine ecosystems.
