Join the American Society of Rio for a special behind-the-scenes visit to the studio of Carioca artist Monica Carvalho. With more than 30 years of experience working alongside Indigenous communities, Monica is known for blending traditional techniques with contemporary design, creating beautiful works from natural materials such as seeds, straw, and wood.

Her work has been featured in leading design publications, numerous editions of Casa Cor, and hotels and restaurants throughout Brazil. During this exclusive visit, Monica will personally guide us through her studio, sharing insights into her creative process, inspiration, materials, and the stories behind her work.
