About the event
The American Society of Rio is proud to launch the first edition of its 2026 Speakers Series with a special presentation by Sergio da Costa e Silva, who has led the renowned Música no Museu project for the past 28 years. During this free event, he will share the history and impact of this celebrated Brazilian initiative, which brings both classical and popular music to cultural spaces such as museums, libraries, and concert venues, primarily in Rio de Janeiro, but also across Brazil and the world. The project’s diverse programming includes orchestras, choirs, and Brazilian popular music, and has expanded to include notable events such as the Rio Harp Festival and the Rio Winds Festival.
